S.E.M. and S.E.O. Two acronyms that are widely often used but are very much misunderstood. The two are not synonymous neither are they inseparable. S.E.M. is Search Engine Marketing or which is NOT marketing TO search engines, but marketing USING search and search engines to reach your target audience and customers. S.E.O. is Search Engine Optimisation [Optimization in the U.S.] S.E.O. is part of the overall work S.E.M. not a separate process.

The terms URI and URL are often used interchangeably when describing links , however there is a difference. URI is an acronym for Uniform Resource Identifier and URL is an acronym for Uniform Resource Locator.

The difference being that a URL also includes the method for finding and accessing the resource, the communication protocol, while a URI  provides a reference to the resource itself. Therefore all URLs ARE URIs, but URIs are not URLs.
